PPV stands for pay per view. It's exclusive content a Fan unlocks with a one-off payment, on top of what they pay for the subscription. It arrives blurred with a price on it, and they only see it if they pay.

In an account that really earns, subscriptions are under 10% of income. Nearly all the rest comes from PPV and tips. We explain why in [how much to charge for your OnlyFans subscription](/blog/how-much-to-charge-for-onlyfans-subscription/). If you want your account to earn more, PPV is the first thing to work on.

## Where PPV sells

You can sell PPV in three places:

- In the feed, as a paid post. All your Fans see it locked on your profile.
- In a mass message, sent to all your Fans or to a list.
- In a private chat, to a single Fan.

Private chat is where most of it sells. There the price, the content and the timing fit each Fan.

## How it sells in chat

A PPV that shows up out of nowhere usually stays unopened. It sells when it arrives at the right moment in a conversation, when the Fan already wants to see it. That's why Chatters work from Scripts. They lead the conversation, build interest and send content from the Creator's Vault when the Fan is ready to buy.

A Script usually raises the price step by step. First a cheap PPV. If the Fan buys it, a slightly pricier one. Someone who has paid once finds it easier to pay again.

    <li style="--h: 57%"><span class="ladder-bar"></span><strong>$20</strong> Second PPV</li>
    <li style="--h: 100%"><span class="ladder-bar"></span><strong>$35</strong> Third PPV</li>
  </ol>

## How much to charge for a PPV

There's no set price. It depends on what the content shows, how exclusive it is and which Fan gets it. A Fan who spends a lot can be offered pricier content than one who just arrived.

The number to watch is each Fan's CLV, what they bring you over their whole subscription. A PPV that's too expensive can scare off a Fan who would have bought five cheaper ones. One that's too cheap teaches them your content isn't worth much.

OnlyFans keeps 20% of every PPV, as it does with everything else you earn. On a $20 PPV you keep $16.

## Shoot once, sell many times

The same video can sell to hundreds of Fans, one at a time, each in their own chat and at their own price. That's why PPV pays so well. You don't need new content for every sale.

That takes order. A Fan who gets sent a PPV they already bought feels cheated, and rightly so. The Chatter has to know what each Fan has bought and what they haven't seen yet.

## PPV at Panther

At Panther, our Chatters cover your chats 24 hours a day in Shifts, with Scripts built to raise each Fan's CLV. They price every PPV for the Fan in front of them and keep track of what each one has bought. You decide what content gets sold and where your limits are, and it's written into your contract with the agency.
